The Definitive is an all Canadian rock band formed in Calgary, Alberta, in 2023. The group's unique ​blend of Evan Burns’ progressive slap bass lines, Dylan Jones’ classic rock-inspired guitar riffs, ​Vaughan Xavier’s in-your-face funky drum grooves and the sweet memorable vocal hooks of Duke ​Domino, has garnered them a reputation for exploring uncharted sonic territory – creating a sound ​the band call Northern Rock.

Following the release of their debut album WORLDS AWAY, they have cemented their reputation as ​an incredibly energetic and fresh live act, playing shows and festivals across Western Canada, and ​sharing the stage with the likes of Our Lady Peace, I Mother Earth, and Headstones. Amidst the ​chaos, The Definitive continue to dive deeper into their sound, exploring new ideas and capitalizing ​on the magic of those first jam sessions
