The Definitive is an all-Canadian rock band formed in Calgary, Alberta, in 2023. The group’s unique blend of Evan Burns’ progressive slap bass lines, Dylan Jones’ classic rock-inspired guitar riffs, Vaughan Xavier’s in-your-face funky drum grooves, and the sweet memorable vocal hooks of Duke Domino has garnered them a reputation for exploring uncharted sonic territory – creating a sound the band calls Northern Rock.

The band has cemented their reputation as an incredibly energetic and fresh live act, playing shows and festivals across Central and Western Canada, and sharing the stage with the likes of Our Lady Peace, I Mother Earth, Headstones, and Default. With their second studio release, “Horizon’s Edge”, The Definitive continue to dive deeper into their sound, exploring new ideas and capitalizing on the magic of those first jam sessions.
